Nala Taxi’s New App Hits Milestone with 1,000th Trip

Nala Taxi’s newly launched ride-hailing application has successfully completed its 1,000th trip on February 5, 2025, marking a major milestone since its launch on January 25, 2025.

The landmark ride was an inner-city trip within Malé, costing MVR 30. To celebrate the achievement, Nala Taxi is awarding a cash prize of MVR 1,000 to the customer who took the ride, while the driver of the trip, operating under "Nala 5," will receive MVR 500, and the prize handover process is currently underway.

Since the introduction of the new application, Nala Taxi has launched several promotional campaigns to enhance customer and driver engagement. Among the ongoing promotions, users receive a free ride for every 10th trip, and drivers have the chance to win a daily cash prize of MVR 700 for completing the highest number of trips.

With strong adoption and increasing ride volume, Nala Taxi’s new app continues to reshape urban transportation in Malé.
