“Nala Taxi” app released, offering new features

The "Nala Taxi" taxi app will have new features when it officially launches at 00:00 on Friday.

The application is now available for installation on both the App Store and the Play Store.

The new app provides the capability to specify the number of passengers and cargo, enabling users to obtain the appropriate vehicle for their requirements. 

The app's founder, Ahmed Habeeb, informed that in the first 24 hours following the app's launch at 00:00 hours, first-time consumers will receive complimentary rides. 

The app facilitates communication between consumers and drivers, dispatching taxi requests to the nearest vehicles.

The application will automatically read the current location. "You must elect the destination, specify the quantity of passengers, and submit the request," stated Habeeb. 

Customers have the ability to monitor the transport that is scheduled to receive them. 

The application also includes a feature that allows female consumers to select a female driver. 

According to Habeeb, one of the most significant distinctions between his application and other taxi applications is that it allows users to reserve taxis for others by providing their phone number. 

The app also includes a security feature that allows customers to share a link to their transportation.

"For instance, my daughter utilizes a taxi." The application will allow her to share the URL with her father. Furthermore, the father conducted a check from his residence to ensure that the taxi was following the correct route. "He will have the ability to monitor updates in real time," Habeeb stated. 

The "Nala Taxi" drivers have also been introduced to a supplementary application, "Nala Taxi Drivers." Registration on the application will result in a three-month complimentary subscription for drivers who successfully undergo a screening process.

"Drivers who submit the required documentation will be activated after we review the dashboard." “We will provide drivers with the opportunity to submit any missing documents,” he stated.

The "Nala Taxi" services will be accessible in Male' City, Addu City, and Kulhudhuffushi City upon the app's launch.

The rates of "Nala Taxi" will be in accordance with the taxi rates established by the Transport Ministry, according to Habeeb. He also stated that chauffeurs who charge higher rates will be investigated in response to complaints.
