The Maldives Police Service has announced that applications are now open for their esteemed taxi driver program.
This initiative, aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of taxi services across the nation, offers two distinct programs catering to both new and current taxi drivers. The deadline for applications is set for July 13, 2024.
The two programs are Taxi Driver Training Program which is designed for new drivers who aspire to join the taxi industry. It provides comprehensive training on road safety, customer service, and essential driving skills. The curriculum is tailored to equip aspiring drivers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the taxi service sector.
The other program is Driver Refresher Program which is specifically crafted for current taxi drivers who are actively serving. The refresher course focuses on updating drivers on the latest traffic regulations, improving service standards, and reinforcing safe driving practices. It ensures that experienced drivers continue to provide top-notch service while staying informed about new developments in the industry.
This initiative marks the fifth batch of the taxi driver program this year, reflecting the ongoing commitment of the Maldives Police Service to uplift the standards of the taxi industry.
